Understanding Project Lifecycle Outputs For Projects
In my previous article, I have talked about some of the facts that you need to know about the project lifecycle for projects. In this article, I want to talk about some of the facts that you need to know about project lifecycle outputs for projects. Follow me as we are going to look at that in this article.
Here, in this article, I want to about some of the outputs of the project lifecycle. Please note that I am not going to discuss those outputs in this article. I will only list out some of those outputs. Believe me, if you stick to this blog, in my subsequent articles, I am going to explain those features in detail.
Under initiating, we have the following outputs: Project charter, goals and objectives, project purpose, assignment of a project manager, management sponsor, functional manager, and user representative.
Under planning, we have constraints and assumptions, project plan, scope management plan, scope statement, work breakdown structure, activity list, project network diagram, activity duration estimates, project schedule, schedule management plan, resource requirements, cost estimates cost management plan, cost baseline quality assurance plan among others.
It also includes a quality assurance plan, communications plan, resource management plan, roles and responsibilities, assignment of resources, risk management plan, procurement management plan, statement of work among others.
Under executing, we have intermediate or final work results and deliverables, change requests, project records, quality improvements and proposals and contracts among others.
#4 Monitoring and Controlling
The outputs of the monitoring and controlling stage of a project include performance reports, change requests, project plan updates and corrective actions among others.
Under the closing phase of the projects, we have formal acceptance and closure, project archives, contract files and lessons learned among others.
