As President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Nigeria on Friday, March 10, after spending almost two months in London for medical check, the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, has admitted that he had a “very interesting and challenging time” while he held the fort for his boss as the Acting President.
Punch reports that Osinbajo spoke at a meeting Buhari had with top government officials shortly after he arrived at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him by handing over the reins of government to him as Acting President.
The president had spent over 50 days in London after he extended his initial 10 days and sought the approval of the Senate.
He met with top officials of his government led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, spoke briefly with them and then retired to his official residence within the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting held inside the First Lady Conference Room and the president reportedly promised to re-dedicate himself to the service of the nation.
