Another senior officer of the Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Colonel, O. Umusu, has been killed by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno.
The late Umusu, a Commanding Officer, 118 Task Force Battalion in Borno State, met his death alongside his security details, during a Boko Haram ambush on Monday evening.
The ambush was said to have occurred along Sari and Gudumbali while they were returning from Maiduguri to Baga.
Just recently, the degraded terrorist group had killed a Nigerian war hero, Muhammad Abu Ali and six others.
As at the time of filing this report, the Army is yet to release a statement concerning the death of Umusu.
Effort to reach the Army spokesperson, Col Sani Usman was not successful as he didn’t pick up his calls, neither did he return text messages sent to his phone.
